Take ten minutes out of your life to watch this this TED Talk by Louie Schwartzberg, an award-winning cinematographer, and I guarantee that you will feel grateful afterwards. I love this talk because Schwartzberg hits the nail on the head, touching on why I think beauty is an important part of our lives.
Here’s a quote:
"When people see my work, they say “Oh my God.” Have you ever wondered what that meant-?
"The “oh” means it caught your attention, it made you mindful and present… the “my” means it connects with something deep inside your soul. It creates a gateway for your inner voice to rise up and be heard. “God” is that personal journey that we all want to be on, to be inspired …. and to be connected to a universe that celebrates life.”
